Platform.

....Yes please! I have been eyeing up various platforms for a year or two now. More delights here from Charlotte Ronson, yes sister of Mark and Sam and yes very talented in her own right and delicious Hasbeens clog sandals. These might have to be mine.

Drooling & Shoe fetishes.

Ahhh Opening Ceremony, je t'aime. Nice shoes for a rainy Wednesday evening.

Teen Vogue

Back in May I went down to a beautiful village not too far from Stevenage to shoot Emma Watson for this months Teen Vogue alongside Norman Jean Roy and Gillian O'brien. The location was so heavenly I didn't want to leave. Rolling hills and roaming pheasant, weather beaten tricycles and a house steeped in history. Here are the results of that day 25 butterfly boxes and 4 antique rugs later.

Vitra.

A wee while ago I worked alongside Chrissie McDonald and John Short on the ad campaign for Vitra's incredibly light 'vegetal' chair. I enjoyed my brief stint as a carpenter, laying the parquet flooring and forming the paper and card interior.

When Lily came to class.

I got on with a spot more printing today. This time round I used a bit of my newly acquired stencil method and combined it with the standard expose-your-screen-first technique. All in all a fairly successful and productive session. The pattern came from a series of number inspired textile designs I've been working on. This being number 2.

While doing a couple of test prints I noticed Lily on the table so I picked her up and gave her some snazzy new spectacles.

N.B. if using A4 layout paper taped together to form A3, use brown tape or sellotape, as masking tape is a little too thick and causes an uneven print, as I found out today. Lesson learnt!

Prints. Not Prince.

I've gone back to school and started a screen printing class. It had been a couple of years since I last did some printing. Here is my latest effort using a method I hadn't used before. Instead of exposing the screen I cut stencils and got printing straight away. Nice to learn such an instant method.

From Kuwait to New York

On an ever exciting adventure around châteaux Grundberg, my attention was caught by some very old wooden hangers. My favourite being one from Kuwait Hilton. I think my Dad must have permanently borrowed one from every hotel he stayed in, because there are a lot! I'm off to NYC next week and very excited about it too. I've been compiling my soundtrack:
Frank is top of the list of course.

Flower power

I played around t'other day finding visual solutions to illustrate the personalities and interests of different individuals for a marketing company. Much fun was had over at YCN with the Jiggery Pokery ladies and tasty victoria sponge cake.
